Irina Cunnar — Head of Human Resources at SynSel Energy

A human resources generalist and corporate communications expert, Irina Cunnar joined SynSel Energy in May 2021. As the head of its human resources department, she is in charge of recruiting and onboarding as well as managing employee benefits. Irina Cunnar also wrote SynSel’s employee handbook.

Previously, Ms. Cunnar served as a part-time research assistant at TLM Consulting in Antioch, Illinois. During her time there, she was responsible for writing research reports and literature reviews. Additionally, she obtained multiple academic qualifications in the fields of psychology and human resources.

Ms. Cunnar graduated with honors from Joliet Junior College, where she studied psychology. She later attended Loyola University of Chicago to complete her undergraduate studies. After earning a bachelor of science in psychology, she pursued graduate studies in human resources and industrial relations. She earned her master’s degree from the Loyola University Quinlan School of Business in 2021.

In addition to her work, Irina Cunnar volunteers with organizations such as the Center for Enriched Living and the American Cancer Society. She enjoys spending her leisure time playing with her dog, Oakley.
